Taking care and minimizing our environmental footprint is the guiding principle to developing sustainable products. It is at the core of everything we do, and integrated throughout the manufacturing of Smartkat products.

THE SUSTAINABLE WAY FORWARD

It is our common responsibility to take care of the world we live in. We leave an imprint on our environment just as we leave footprints in the sand. Our goal at Smartkat is to minimize this impact by setting and achieving environmental targets and engaging in green manufacturing practices.

NOT A PROJECT

Responsible environmental stewardship is not a time-limited project at Smartkat. We are constantly seeking to strengthen our commitment by finding more ways to be environmentally responsible, both in how our product is made, and ultimately how our Smartkat products are used. We place stringent demands on ourselves, and are encouraged by the pressure we feel from consumers who now insist on greener products.

Sustainability is fundamental to us, and we seek opportunities for improvement in every part of our business.

CHOOSING CAREFULLY

Making better choices is at the heart of sustainable development. Some choices we’ve made at Smartkat include:

1) Choosing materials that have not only a long lifespan, but a lower environmental impact in their production

2) Designing sturdy products that have a wide range of uses, with an emphasis on function and durability

3) Planning our production carefully in conjunction with our suppliers and forwarding agents to minimize our carbon footprint.

Finally, we’ve increased the proportion of recycled material in our Smartkat manufactory to use resources wisely and put the focus squarely on sustainability. The aim is to constantly improve our entire supply chain, a job that is ever ongoing.
